The Bayer Foundation has announced the launch of applications for the Women Entrepreneurs Award 2025, an initiative that celebrates and supports women who are building solutions in the areas of health and food security.
The award is designed to recognize women founders and co-founders from across Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, offering them both financial support and the right networks to grow their businesses.
What Winners Receive
This year, 15 entrepreneurs will be selected for the award. Each winner will receive:
A €25,000 grant to strengthen their business.
A six-month accelerator program, including expert mentorship and tailored business support.
Global visibility through communication and outreach efforts.
An invitation to the award ceremony, with travel sponsored by the Foundation.
Long-term access to the Bayer Foundation alumni network and the Impact Hub Network, opening doors to partnerships and new opportunities.
Who Can Apply
The award is aimed at women who are already running businesses with real-world impact. Eligible ventures must:
Be focused on solving challenges in health or food security, especially for underserved communities.
Be revenue-generating, ideally up to around $500,000 annually.
Show potential for both sustainability and scalability.
Why It Matters
Women entrepreneurs often face hurdles in scaling their businesses — from limited funding to lack of mentorship. By offering not just financial help but also access to networks and expertise, this award provides a platform for women innovators to amplify their work and make a broader impact.
Important Dates
Applications are open now and will close on February 18, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their ideas before the final winners are announced later in the year.
This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the vital role women entrepreneurs play in shaping solutions for global challenges. For many, the award could be the stepping stone that helps take their business — and their impact — to the next level.
